About the Role
Most engineering roles ask you to build features for a roadmap someone else wrote, in a codebase built before you arrived, for users you'll never speak to. You ship code into a system that was already decided. The work is real, but your fingerprints aren't on it.
This role is different.
myCandr is an early-stage AI company transforming how organisations understand their people. We're at the stage where the founding engineering team will have a direct and lasting influence on what this product becomes. The decisions you make here — architectural, product, technical — will still be visible in five years.
We need someone who is genuinely excited by that responsibility. Not someone looking for a stable job with clear specs. Someone who wants to build something that matters — and can.
What You'll Build
- Core product features on our AI-powered analysis platform
- Integrations with survey tools, HR systems, and data sources our customers already use
- Infrastructure that handles sensitive organisational data with security and compliance at the centre
- Internal tooling that makes the rest of the team faster
- The architecture decisions that will shape this product for years — you'll be here when they're made
What We're Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience building production software, ideally in a SaaS context
- Strong full-stack capability — comfortable across frontend and backend
- Experience with TypeScript, React or Next.js, and modern cloud infrastructure
- An instinct for product, not just engineering — you think about users, not just systems
- You move fast, take ownership, and don't need to be managed into action
- You've seen what good looks like and care about the difference between good and great
- Experience with AI/ML integrations is a plus, but curiosity matters more than credentials
The architecture you write today will still be running when myCandr is serving thousands of organisations.
